just thought i’d update you lovelies on my journey thus far in Rio.. it’s been non-stop fun fun fun in the sun sun sun!

happy Saturday! the weather was beautiful! and blessed with good food and amazing friends!

my day started with the perfect cup of coffee at the hotel.. to a stroll along Ipanema beach.. you know the infamous post #9..

some shopping at Rio Sul..

then dinner at Urca for some ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh-mayyyyyyy-zinggggg picanhas (slices of beef)..

and finally watching the sunset along Urca.. couldn’t have asked for more!

oh yes, and during this whole adventure i totes caved and got myself some havaianas..

and the fact that i got to do some updates??.. the connection is still painfully torturous.. totes remind me of the dial-up era.. aughhhhh.. just the thought makes me cringe!

just need to patiently wait until next week!

so for those of you who follow me on twitter may already know that i was rio bound yesterday for this week and next.. (holla my carioca fashionistas!)

i’m checked-in.. it’s been day one here today.. weather was beautiful and sunny! too bad i was cooped up indoors all freakin day.. but anywhooo..

staying over at my beloved Ipanema.. but the hotel’s connection is clearly showing me no love.. so it’s a bloody drag and painful to watch while uploading pictures.. let alone just to browse.. i really really have limited bullshit tolerance.. so you can imagine me and patience.. just doesn’t go!

so i apologize for my such MIA-ness this week.. but bare with me.. maybe on the weekend i can muster up my courage and test my patience then for some updates.. so bare with me!

and this is actually my first time taking an international bound business class via American Airline.. it was interesting.. and horridly uncomfortable.. how does one sleep at a 45 degree angle??? thankgoodness i wasn’t wearing anything silk! i would have been slipping and sliding off my seat-bed.. lol

today i was feeling and channelling McQueen..

i didn’t want to do the classic black or white scarf.. i got this limited for the season one in orange.. the skulls are more subtle.. alittle more corporate attire.. or should i say, business casual appropriate. ;)

regardless someone has something to say about my outfit..

i knowwwwww.. i am trying to get corporate people to foster  skulls and that it’s not just for goth or punk styles..

last night my hubby and i went for a nice stroll in the city after our date..

i was totally in all black mode.. with tints of gold here and there.. and it worked out just fine :)

when dressing all in black you need to keep things simple, otherwise you can go borderline goth or matrix.. take your pick ;)

just when you store all your winter clothes away, Mother Nature puts a twist and brings the cold and snow??? to our Spring….

so as much as my mind is puzzled, my closet is too….

over the weekend we spent celebrating Mother’s day on my hubby’s side of the family.. i know it’s early, but i will be away in Miami on the actual day of..

and i certainly did not plan nor was prepared for any of this..

so i decided to layer my print dress with a sweater dress over it.. and because i wasnt prepared to freeze my toes off i opted for my Jil Sander shoes..

i was rather surprised and pleased at how the shoes made an interesting look with my printed dress. what possessed me to wear this?? who knows!! it was one of those melancholic bohemian moments lol
