Taylor

Taylor Momsen (the girl from Gossip Girl) at Giuseppe Zanotti for FNO – how trashily edgy does she look?! it’s a love hate thing – but she pulls off the look quite well – sort of channeling the Courtney Love era (less the stoned look) - but she’s sixteen! she’s allowed to have fun! xo

on the flip side..
Rihanna

Rihanna at the same party pulling off quite the polar opposite look, non? she’s beginning to look alittle dated? try-hard? channeling her inner Grace Jones? well whatever it is, something looks alittle off.. what do you think? funky glasses though! xo

so i am truly 50/50 on this one..

as you all know by now – my obsession for shoes is the obvious – but was never a seeker of the Choo’s – so this shall be interesting

while my utter disappointment with the Matthew Williamson collection has not been forgotten – I cannot help but wonder if this is another one of their “crying wolf” media stint..

the collaboration is another addition to the many collaborations done to date (from Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Roberto Cavalli, Viktor & Rolf, Comme des Garçons, Matthew Williamson)

president of Jimmy Choo – Tamara Mellon said that she felt honoured to be among the fashion greats to be affiliated with H&M and quotes Mellon “It’s such a privilege to design a collection to appeal to fashion savvy, street smart women.. Jimmy Choo will bring H&M a sophisticated, fashion forward, accessible and glamorous collection – the perfect party pieces to wear out at night.”

Jimmy Choo brand has become quite popular with glamour & diva-dome. The label was co-founded in 1996 by Malaysian-born Choo and former Vogue accessories editor Tamara Mellon, and it’s become a major global upmarket brand with stores in major cities.

Everything from flats to knee high boots from $99-299, and handbags from $59-299 and sequined tops and dresses..

it’s a bittersweet treat (just the day before my birthday) launching nationwide on November 14th 2009 at selected H&M stores.

do i plan on waiting in line for this launch? only time will tell.. to be continued..

this is a must-see for all lovers of the arts, photography, fashion, design..

i strongly encourage everyone to take this wonderful opportunity – it’s a great excuse to go to NYC and do alittle shopping while you’re at it – double the treat!

this exhibition explores the relationship between high-fashion and evolving ideals of beauty; organized by historical period from 1947 to 1997, while focusing on our iconic models today and their roles in projecting, while inspiring the fashion of their respective eras. it features haute couture and prêt-à-porter creations from some of our masterminds; like Chanel, YSL, Balenciaga.. it also showcases fashion photography and video footages of models who epitomized their iconic status of their era.
