Born and raised in Algeria, Yves Henri Donat Mathieu-Saint-Laurent, also known as YSL who revolutionized ‘ready-to-wear’ and accomplished the impossible – which is collaborating edge and elegance.

A legend was created at 17 in Paris, France – where he won a design competition with a sketch of a cocktail dress.
YSL’s career as Christian Dior’s “right arm” and soon ascended to head designer after the couturier’s death in 1958.
